BIKER INJURED — A motorcyclist was transported to Upstate Carolina Medical Center following a Thursday afternoon crash on Wilcox Avenue. The name and status of the operator of the motorcycle was not immediately available at press time. The motorcycle had a North Carolina license plate. The accident occurred around 4:15 p.m. Thursday amidst a rain storm and along a sharp curve in the roadway. The motorcycle made impact with the front end of a passenger car headed south.
