MEMORIAL GIFTS PROVIDE NEW BOOKS FOR BLACKSBURG ELEMENTARY MEDIA CENTER – Melba Lindler, media specialist at Blacksburg Elementary School, and Pete Peterson, a fifth grader at the school, look over a selection of new books just received in the school’s media center. The books were purchased with monies given in memory of Pete’s grandmother, Greta Parker. Mrs. Parker, who passed away in the spring, was a frequent volunteer at Blacksburg Elementary. She shared her love of books by reading to many of the classes at the school.
