Childers named town assistant administrator

Shane Childers will become the new Blacksburg assistant town administrator in June. Childers will begin his new duties as Blacksburg assistant administrator on June 6, town administrator Dalton Pierce announced Tuesday. He will receive a $58,000 salary.
