Barbara Keller Short

 

 

Gaffney, SC — Barbara Wilson Keller Short, 65, of 127 Laroi Road, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at her residence.

Born in Munich Germany, she was the wife of Terry Dale Short, Sr. of the home, was previously married to the late Marlon Alexander Keller, and daughter of the late Lee Roy Wilson and Vera Stanford Wilson. She was a graduate of Gaffney High School and Spartanburg Community College, was employed by Bon Secours in Greenville, and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Joshua Bryan Martin (Wendy) and Jordan Alexander Keller, both of Gaffney; four stepsons, Terry Dale Short, Jr. of Southport, NC, Chris Short (Mara) of Forest City, NC, Clay Short of the home, Colton Short of Spartanburg; two stepdaughters, Alanda Keller Travis (Karl) of Myrtle Beach and Alexis Keller Foster (Eric) of Gaffney; a brother, Jimmy Bledsoe of Alabama; a sister, Pat Rackstraw of Alabama; ten grandchildren, Brianna Martin, Brandon Martin, Bryan Martin, Devon Hames, Madison Martin, Blake Martin, Trey Short, Trent Short, Avery Short and Makayla Short; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Terry Wilson and Mike Wilson.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dwight Easler and Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.

The family will be at the residence, 127 Laroi Road, Gaffney, SC 29340.
