The first-ever Cherokee County Top 20 Under 40 winners were announced Friday by The Classic Society.
Receiving more than 80 nominations, the honorees span a variety of careers from an engineer to educators and entrepreneurs.
The Top 20 Under 40 was created as a way to honor those who have either stayed in Cherokee County or moved here and are seeking to improve the community through their professional and volunteer contributions.
A virtual celebration for the honorees will be held in December.
