A Gaffney man was killed in a two-vehicle collision Thursday night.
Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler identified the victim as 63-year-old James Howard Higgins.
The collision occurred at 7:50 p.m. on Baker Road when the pick-up truck being driven by Higgins was struck by a Jeep Patriot.
“The Jeep crossed the center line, striking the truck in the driver’s side,” Fowler said. “Higgins, who was wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene. His wife, who was a font seat passenger in the truck was uninjured.”
