H-Tax recommendations made

The Cherokee Historical and Preservation Society (CHAPs) will likely get a big slice of the city’s Hospitality Tax (H-Tax) money. The Gaffney Finance Committee agreed Friday to recommend that CHAPs receive $30,000 for the next five years to fund a new roof for its museum. The new roof is estimated to cost $250,000.
