Sandra Woodlief

 

 

Gaffney, SC — Sandra McCraw Woodlief, 61, of 420 Old Pros Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of James “Jim” Thomas Woodlief and daughter of Inez Martin McCraw of Blacksburg and the late Kenneth Alvin McCraw. Sandra was a graduate of Blacksburg High School and Gardner Webb College. She retired from the Cherokee County School District after 32 years of teaching and was a dedicated member of Macedonia Baptist Church where she served as music director for 29 years. Sandra was a loving daughter, wife, mother and Mimi, loved children, educating children and music.

Sandra was a shining light in this world. She was a true servant of God and shared her love of Jesus with everyone she came in contact with. She loved her family fiercely and cared for her grandbabies with all of her heart and soul. Sandra’s legacy will live on forever in their lives. When God created Sandra, he truly outdid himself. “They don’t make ‘em any better.”

Surviving in addition to her husband and mother, is a son, Brooks Woodlief (Alex) and their son, Lawson of Gaffney; a daughter, Tessie Bridges (Zach) and their children, Beckett, Amelia and Webb of Gaffney.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 in Frederick Memorial Gardens with Dr. Terry Duvall and Pastor Bryon McIntyre officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Macedonia Baptist Church, “Music Fund”, 216 Macedonia Road, Gaffney, SC 29341.

The family will be at the home of Zach & Tessie Bridges, 426 Old Pros Drive, Gaffney, SC 29341.
