Sheriff’s office seeks help in finding missing womanFree Access

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s assistance in locating a 43-year-old woman who has been missing since last week.

Amanda Michelle Deaton was last seen on Piney Knob Drive in Gaffney on Wednesday, Nov. 30, when she left a family member’s residence around dark. Cherokee County Sheriff Steve Mueller said she was last seen wearing a black Harley Davidson jacket and blue jeans.

Deaton is 5 feet tall and weighs 120 pounds. The subject has been entered into the National Crime Information Center for other jurisdictions to assist in locating her.

“Investigators do not suspect any foul play at this time,” Mueller said. “Based on information provided Amanda Michelle Deaton has done this in the past, just has not been gone this long without making contact with family or friends.”

Anyone with information on the missing person is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC or contact Sergeant Logan Heintzel, an investigator with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office at (864) 489-4722 Extension #120.
