Gaffney, SC — Thomas “Tommy” Eugene Mullinax, 78, of 1542 Corinth Road, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at his residence.
Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of the late Barbara Benton Mullinax and the son of the late Thomas Clint Mullinax and Mary Elizabeth Wilson Mullinax. He enjoyed rabbit hunting and professional wrestling and was an avid Gaffney Indians fan. Mr. Mullinax was retired from Alcoa and a member of New Harvest Church of God.
Surviving are two sons, Kenneth Mullinax (Dorothy) and Timothy Mullinax (Crystal), both of Gaffney; four daughters, Patty Bowden (Bobby) of Banks County, GA, Deana Hill, Cindi Deese and Angie Hill, all of Gaffney; a brother, Billy Mullinax of Gaffney; a sister, Ruth Mullinax of Gaffney; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-greatgrandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Mullinax was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Wells; a grandson, Steve Foster; and a great-grandson, Landon Mullinax.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Monday, March 21, 2022 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00PM on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Robert Wells officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
