Fishing tourney raises $3,680 for ‘Christmas is for Kids’
Saturday, November 30, was perfect weather for the 29 boat captains and co-anglers that set out to raise money for the fourth Christmas is for Kids Fishing Tournament. The Humane Society of Cherokee County is accepting donations of canned dog and coat food, sardines and tuna, cleaning supplies (bleach and Dawn), towels and blankets until Dec. 31. Donations can be made at Piedmont Animal Hospital on Hwy. 18 and the Cherokee County Sheriff ’s Office.
