The Cherokee County Sheriff ’s Office is investigating an assault that left a mentally disabled Gaffney man badly beaten. Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler has released the name of a woman discovered Sunday partially buried in a corn field in Gaffney. Fowler identified the victim as Alisia Campos Garcia, 37, of 3228 Chesnee Highway.
