A Spartanburg man injured in a shooting at a Gaffney apartment complex has died from his injuries.
Robert Victor Dillard III, 23, of 1085 Hunt Club Lane, Spartanburg, passed away at 12:48 p.m. Wednesday at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Dillard was shot inside Apartment E-20 at Limestone Courts, located at 940 North Limestone Street, around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Responding officers located the victim lying near the back door upon arrival. He had sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was transported by EMS to the hospital, where he was receiving treatment at the time of his death.
An autopsy will be conducted to assist the coroner’s investigation.
