Matthews, NC — Margaret Brown Turner, 100, of 733 Pavilion View Drive, formerly of Vernon Street, Gaffney, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 12, 2025 at her residence.
Born in Woodruff, she was the widow of the late Joe Hoyle Turner and daughter of the late Horace N. Brown and Ethel Skinner Brown. She retired from the Cherokee County School District and was a member of First Baptist Church in Gaffney. She loved her family, cooking and also volunteered with Carolinas Medical Center in Gaffney.
Surviving is a son, Craig Turner (Dovie) of Youngsville, NC; a daughter-in-law, Frances Turner of Waxhaw, NC; two grandchildren, Joel S. Turner (Sara) and Daniel Turner; four great-grandchildren, Sam Turner, Hannah Turner, Selah Turner and Trudy Turner. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Turner, a grandson, Justin V. Turner and three sisters, Hester Brown, Rachel Deen and Doris Wheeler.
Cryptside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Frederick Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
