Gaffney, SC —Clara Maxine Gardner Ross, 92, of 323 Marconi Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 9, 2025 at her residence.
Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late William E. Ross and the daughter of the late Boyce Vernon Gardner and Edith Emma Turner Gardner. Mrs. Ross was retired from retail and a member of Cross Hill Community Baptist Church.
Surviving is a son, William Douglas Ross (Shelby) of Moore; a daughter, Robin Gosnell of the home; three sisters, Betty Cash of Pacolet, Mary Thackston of Gaffney and Laverne Turner of Gaffney; six grandchildren, David Austin Gosnell (Brianna), Justin Neal Gosnell, Layla Cheyenne Ross, Hannah Grace Ross, Kaytlynn Dakota Ross and Zoey Hayden Ross. Mrs. Ross was preceded in death by three brothers, Boyce V. Gardner II, Lonnie Gardner and Niles Gardner; and a sister, Ramona “Toni” Mathis.
The family will receive friends from 3:00PM until 4:00PM on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Cross Hill Community Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 4:00PM at the church with Reverend Brian Tillotson officiating.
