Gaffney, SC — Myrtis Willard Parris, 82, of 101 Park, Court, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 3, 2025 at Viva Senior Living.
Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late Donald Parris and daughter of the late Sam Willard and Juanita Guthrie Harris. She retired from Fiber Industries, formerly worked for Ingles, and was a member of Central Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Jerry Peeler (Suzie) of Gaffney; a daughter, Angela Arthur (Chris) of Gaffney; two sisters, Patsy Wix of Gaffney and Nancy Bishop of Landrum; five grandchildren, Katie Peeler, Brandon Peeler (Casie), Jorda L. Dill (Traci), Jacob Dill (Alicia) and Amy Phillips (Blake); thirteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald “Donnie” Peeler, a brother, Sammy Willard and a sister, Martha Jordan.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Frederick Memorial Gardens with Reverend Robert Wells officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
The family will be at their respective homes.
