Spartanburg, SC — Raymond “Ray” Lee Mullinax, 74, of 3619 Cowpens-Pacolet Road, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Cathy Alverson Mullinax and the son of the late Raymond R. Mullinax and Lois Medley Mullinax. He was a graduate of Gaffney High School and a United States Army Vietnam Veteran. Mr. Mullinax was retired from Timken and a member of Goucher Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, also surviving is a son, Michael Ray Mullinax (Monica) of Gaffney; a daughter, Kimberly Sullivan (Mark) of Gaffney; a sister, Sarah Gordon (Ken) of Gastonia; four grandchildren, Jordan Mullinax (Ashley), Madison Mullinax (Kaley), Parker Sullivan (Payton) and Peyton Sullivan; numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Mullinax was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Mullinax.
The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Goucher Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00PM at the church with Dr. Ron Culbertson and Reverend Robbie Stollger officiating. Interment will be in Goucher Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors.
