Raymond Manley


 

 

Blacksburg – Raymond Louis Manley Sr., 89, of 741 Burnt Mill Road, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at his residence.

Born in Danville, VA, he was the husband of 69 years of Helen Gibson Manley and the son of the late Louis and Birdie Hampton Manley. He formerly worked as a supervisor in textiles and was a member of Cherokee Falls Missionary Fellowship Church.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Manley is survived by his children, Teresa M. McSwain, Raymond L. Manley Jr. (Cindy), and Darryl A. Manley (Sandi); his sister, Alice Green; and his grandchildren, Michael McSwain (Dana), Matthew McSwain (Amber), Malissa Cabana, Michelle Manley- Malta (Mike), Kelly Greer (Brian), Jennifer Nicholson (Brian), and Darryl Alexander Manley II (Brittany); 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 7th, 2025, from 3:00-4:00 pm at Cherokee Falls Missionary Fellowship Church. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 pm at the church with Rev. Gregg Martin officiating. Michael McSwain, Matthew McSwain, Robert Manley, Benny Hampton, Darryl A. Manley II, Noah A. Manley, and Brian Nicholson will serve as pallbearers.
