Cowpens, SC — Timothy “Tim” Mark Martin, 62, of 1048 Love Springs Road, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at his residence.
Born in Gaffney, he was the son of Martin T. Martin of Cowpens and Sarah Kathleen Walker Greene of Spartanburg, and stepson of Jimmy Green. He was a graduate of Spartanburg High School, attended Spartanburg Technical College, and was the retired owner/operator of Riveraholic Hand Paddles. Tim formerly worked as a phlebotomist for over 20 years at Martin Insurance Exams, and was a member of Love Springs Baptist Church. He loved his family, kayaking, camping, woodworking, carpentry, the outdoors and spending time with his parrot, Lola.
Surviving in addition to his parents and stepfather are two sons, Mark Anthony Martin and Mitchell Timothy Martin (Jordan), both of Cowpens; two brothers, Jerry Martin (Teresa) of Cowpens and Craig Martin (Paula) of Myrtle Beach; two sisters, Cynthia Frady (Jim) of Inman and Patty Sill (Harold) of Gaffney; three grandchildren, Jessika Bowers, Harley McDaniel and Austin McDaniel; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Delores Robbins Martin and stepfather, O’dell Brown.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Monday, August 25, 2025 at the old Love Springs Baptist Church. Memorial services will immediately follow at 5:00PM at the Church with Dr. Ron Culbertson officiating.
