Scott Powell received a special service award Monday at the Blacksburg High annual football banquet from school trustee Clay Greer and Blacksburg football coach Josh Batchler. The award was given in recognition of his 30 years of service to The Gaffney Ledger and 24 years covering Blacksburg High football and sports.
