Gaffney, SC — Dr. Paul Daniel Karns, of 139 Lakewinds Drive, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
Born in Fostoria, Ohio, he was the son of Sara Brandeberry Karns of Greenville and the late Paul Karns. He was a graduate of JL Mann High School, Wofford College and University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed his work and loved his family and furbabies. Dr. Karns practiced medicine for over 35 years, primarily in Gaffney, in addition to Spartanburg and Chester counties. Dr. Karns was a member of Buford Street United Methodist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Ben Karns (Breanna) of Johns Island, Andy Karns of Gaffney and Dr. Sam Karns (Jason Bryant) of Raleigh; a sister, Nancy Adams of Greenville; and two grandchildren, Finn Karns and Sophie Karns.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Buford Street United Methodist Church with Reverend Dave Nichols and Dr. Clyde Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the church.
